Nick has Career Day

On Saturday, February 27, Nick had a carrer day shooting as he poured in 26 points (12 of 17) from the floor in a losing effort against the Lawrence B Travel Team. The short-handed Red Royals fought back from a sluggish start to take the lead early in the second half. However, the Lawrence press final took its toll in the late minutes of the second half.

When asked about his shooting performance, Nick said, "we've been spending a lot of time shooting in gym class... I've taken advantage of that practice time and been fortunate enough to have it show in a game."

This was the final game for the Red Royals in the Winter Session at the Fieldhouse. Next weekend marks the start of the End of Session Tournament.

Moo Goes to Vegas

Amanda and her team (the R.A.C.E Team from Tumble Town at Geist) competed in the Go For It Classic gymnastics meet in Las Vegas, Nevada during the last week of January. The team had a fourth place finish. Amanda took 10th place All Around and tied for second with her beam routine.

We stayed at the Excaliber on the strip, took in a few shows, gambled a little bit and to make sure we had the full Vegas experience... took the "red-eye" out on Sunday night and even made school/work Monday morning...well we were a little late.
